In On It

We are so so lucky. With all of the craziness with our many years of fertility treatments, we've been very open with friends and family about our journey. When we finally arrived at the decision to adopt, our circle of loved ones has been so supportive and excited for us. I know that is not always the case, but we are truly blessed with the reaction that we have received. My sisters have been so excited for us that they couldn't wait to help me register for baby stuff!

I read a blog post the other day, though, called "Unsolicited Advice: What To Do When Your Friends Adopt An Infant" from Jay + Elle + ButterBean + Little Two.  It reminded me that not everyone is as lucky as we are. And, there are still things that I can do to help educate our loved ones about adoption if they haven't experienced it closely yet. I'm going to get the book "In On It" and read it. I may mention it to our family and see if they're interested in borrowing it. I am sure I will learn from it as well.
