Wingspan

So excited to start a new knitting project. Now that summer is almost to a close, I'm starting to think about some new knitting projects. I'm trying to get my Miss Babs socks finished. I bought the yarn at SAFF last year and want to finish them so I can WEAR them to SAFF this year!

I also want to do a shawl, and my BFF showed me THIS pattern:

I am so beyond myself excited to try this out. Originally, I was thinking of doing this in Noro, but after thinking about it, I remembered I have some yarn that was a gift that would be BEAUTIFUL in this pattern. I've been hanging on to this yarn to find just the right project and I finally found it! I can't wait to get started.

THIS is the yarn I'm going to use:

Well, it had been sitting in a drawer for a while and when I started to wind it, it rapidly turned into this:

And, The Husband was nice enough to help me begin to unravel it:

I worked on it for HOURS last night and today. It is a hot mess. I'm so disappointed to have to wait to start this beautiful shawl. Hoping we get it sorted out soon so I finally get to play!

    1. If I had known how bad the tangle was going to be, I totally would have gone to get NEW YARN! :-) And, to top it off, I started the shawl last night and I don't like it in this yarn! The Husband almost strangled me.
