I used to use a cleaning schedule. Following the rules of the Fly Lady or some of the other blogs that insist on doing a little every day and that will help alleviate the stress of having to do the whole house at the same time. It worked for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't build in any days to do nothing (or next to nothing) and I missed a few days and got quickly burned out and overwhelmed. I've revamped my cleaning list and tried to put the bigger tasks on days when I'm not working, and smaller tasks on the nights where I typically feel the most tired during the week. (For some reason, Thursday night is my worst night. The night I want to just park my butt on the couch and not do anything productive!)
The good thing about the cleaning schedule is that my house will hopefully not get completely filthy ever. The bad thing is that it will never be Spic + Span clean unless I do a major once over occasionally. I do love having everything all sparkly and clean all at the same time! *sigh*
Despite wishing it were not so, I guess this sign is true!

Yeah....about that....not going to happen...just saying ;)
